Dénia is the northern anchor of the Costa Blanca — a UNESCO City of Gastronomy with a hilltop castle, a long marina and ferries that run to Ibiza and Mallorca.
North of town the beaches are flat and sandy; south, the Les Rotes coast turns rocky and is excellent for snorkelling.
Dénia sits on the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante.
