Torrevieja
The pink salt lake, a big working town and long sandy beaches.
Costa Blanca · Alicante
Torrevieja is the working heart of the southern Costa Blanca — a proper Spanish town with a marina, a long promenade and two enormous salt lagoons behind it, one of them famously pink.
It is where we go for the big Friday market, the water park and a supermarket shop, and it is a good rainy-day option because so much of it is indoors or under cover.
Torrevieja sits on the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante.
