Pine forest and dunes behind the long sandy beach at Guardamar del Segura

Guardamar del Segura

Eleven kilometres of sand backed by pine forest and dunes.

Costa Blanca · Alicante

Guardamar is the greenest town on the southern Costa Blanca. A century-old pine forest was planted to hold back the dunes, and today it shades a network of paths, picnic areas and playgrounds right behind the beach.

For a hot family beach day with somewhere cool to retreat to, it is hard to beat.

Guardamar del Segura sits on the Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante.
