Palamós
A working fishing port famous for its prawns, with big sandy beaches.
Costa Brava · Girona
Palamós is a proper working town with one of Catalonia's most important fishing fleets, celebrated for the Palamós prawn.
The fishing museum and the afternoon auction make it a genuinely interesting stop, and the beaches either side of town are long and sandy.
Palamós sits on the Costa Brava in the province of Girona.
