The short, spectacular stretch from Calella de Palafrugell to Llafranc — and how it went with two children.
The Camí de Ronda runs the length of the Costa Brava, hugging the cliffs between coves. Most of it is far too long for young legs — but the Calella de Palafrugell to Llafranc section is about twenty-five minutes, mostly paved, and takes in some of the best views on the coast.
How we did it
- Parked in Llafranc and walked south, so the swim came at the halfway point
- Went before 11am — shade disappears by midday
- Took swimming things; you will pass two coves you will want to stop at
- Finished with ice cream on the Llafranc promenade
Would we do it again
Yes, and next time we will carry on up to the Sant Sebastià lighthouse. It is a steeper climb, but the view along the whole coast is worth the complaining.
